The Infamous 3rd Package Arrives.

It took almost 3 months. It passed through 37 ports. It dumbfounded customs agents in 15 languages. It stressed me out more than anything!! The damned 3rd package that my dad sent from the US to France finally got here!!!! Albeit with a bunch of asterisks...

The infamous 3rd package made its way across the Indian Ocean, the Great Rift Valley, the Ross Ice Shelf and eventually the Camargues to my local post office. Looking more dodecahedral than square, with no customs papers and a gaping whole with my squash racket crying to me as the final Frenchman at the post office would manhandle it, I was more than happy to sign for its arrival, regardless of the abhorrent treatment it received.

Remarkably, my unused $250 racket, unused $250 alpine boots, ski boots, Sabine's Bday present, and roughly $20,000 in licensed software arrived intact. I was happier than the usual Sim.
